I just switched about two months ago, and I LOVE my S5. I got it from BH on sale during Prime Day for freaking $1499 (guess they were trying to compete with Amazon or something). I was able to get the 24-70 S Pro lens and the body for less than the A7Siii body I was looking at. Sure, autofocus, blah blah blah, but the image quality is FANTASTIC, and people don't talk enough about Panasonic's absolutely killer color science. The V-Log profile is absolutely nuts. I'll take incredible image quality and live with the autofocus... as well as save a TON of money in the process. Awesome video. Glad someone with your talent level is talking about how good the S5 is.

I switched it from Canon 6DMarkII and I should have done it a long time ago. It is brilliant no issues with autofocus. Dynamic range is very good so is ISO performance. Highly recommended 👍

Got an A7IV and the S5. Honestly the panny feels so much more fun, easy to use and intuitive. The touch screen is perfect and you can customize every button. Battery life and the grip in your hand is close to perfect (the G9 still has the best grip ever.) Af is a slight concern especially when there is strong backlighting but it's not a deal breaker. Get this camera. Even in 2022.

I chose my S5+Ninja V combo over the Canon R5C 😮 - if you shoot 5.9k/12 bit to the Ninja, the only difference to the Netflix approved S1H is an anti aliasing filter…

I have been with panasonic since the GH4 days, got the GH5 when it came out. And I gotta say I love my S5. For work I shoot with the FX3s and it is WILD to me that the S5 actually has some features the FX3 does not. 2 (3) gripes I have are as everyone will say the Autofocus, but it looks like with Panasonic glass its a lot better (I have been using the sigma 24-70 2.8), The crop in 60 fps 4k and its only a gripe because the FX30 exists because for the price $1500-$2000 NOTHING comes close... until FX30 (yes i know GH6 technically too, but I just like the look of FF better) and lastly there is no good 70-200 2.8 option for L mount ASIDE from the Panasonic one that is $2500, where E mount has a tamron for $800. And the ONLY reason I complain... is because I use the FX3 (and shop for work) so Im constantly seeing those difference. But E mount is a lot older then L mount (Please Sigma make a 70-200 2.8). Even vs the Sony A7IV its anywhere from $500-1000 less which is a great lens right there. Last little point, When comparing my works Fx3s footage to my S5 I dont notice much of if any of a difference (Aside from the skin tones imo on the Pana being better). Thats vs the king A7SIII/FX3.

For some weeks ago I orderd the S5. Before I used the Canon EOS 100 with 50 mm. I love the S5. The coming weekend I will shoot with the S5( if don‘t change something 🤞🏼) for a BMW / Mini dealership in my hometown. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Also extremely user friendly, all Panasonic 1.8 primes are very similar in size and weight and share the 67mm filter size with the 20-60 kit lens, no more rings or repeated filters!

Quality looking good. The speed ramps will look much more smoother if you add motion blur, the ramps look a little too sharp. Just a suggestion!

Nice review, first person I know to use a camera outside the Canon v Sony. Panasonic is a good brand. Don't have funds for a full frame so the Sony a6400 is a good mid range for me and iPhone 13 Pro for on the go + video. Looking forward to more videos on the Lumix and what lenses you will get.

Hi, can you answer me a question I would like to start making videos with cars. Can you recommend a starting camera, on the video side? But I would like to be able to use it also at night and for photos too! I have one now, but it's not as efficient(Canon eos 2000d).

From what I have talked with friends, they say that an FX or Mirrorless camera would be good. My budget would be €1000. Can you help me with an opinion? Thanks in advance!
