As they navigated the labyrinthine corridors, their flashlights flickering in the darkness, they stumbled upon a rusted door hidden behind a crumbling wall. Intrigued by the mystery it held, they pushed it open and stepped into the forgotten room beyond.

The air was thick with the stench of decay, and the silence hung heavy like a shroud. As they explored the room, they uncovered a series of disturbing artifacts – tattered restraints, blood-stained instruments, and a collection of faded photographs depicting the asylum's former patients.

But it was the mirror at the far end of the room that drew their attention, its surface warped and tarnished by the passage of time. As they approached, they saw their reflections staring back at them, distorted and grotesque in the dim light.

Suddenly, the mirror began to shimmer, its surface rippling like the surface of a dark lake. Maya reached out to touch it, her fingertips grazing the cold glass, when suddenly, her reflection twisted and contorted into a grotesque mockery of her own likeness.

With a blood-curdling scream, Maya stumbled backwards, her companions rushing to her side in a panic. But as they turned to flee, they found themselves trapped within the confines of the room, their screams echoing off the walls in a chorus of terror.

Frantic, they searched for an escape, but the door had vanished, leaving them imprisoned within the cursed chamber. With each passing moment, the room seemed to close in around them, its malevolent presence feeding on their fear and desperation.

As the hours stretched into eternity, they realized the true nature of their predicament – they were trapped within the asylum's darkest secret, condemned to wander its halls for all eternity, their souls forever bound to the horrors that lurked within the forgotten room.
