Call of Juarez is a mostly good but directionless series. The first game is a janky old PC game that's pretty good. Bound in Blood is a hidden gem. Gunslinger is a great arcade shooter. But this? This is the result of the peak time when everything under the sun got Call of Duty-fied. In other words, modern setting, the color gray, and attempting to be edgy as hell. Most attempts were bad but this game is one of the worst offenders.

You say that they don’t make games like this, but rockay city just came out, and it’s just as bizarre as it is fun. Dialogue nonsense, acting is strange in both performance and direction, gameplay is fun, it’s bizarrely fun. I’ve done missions in Russia, Vietnam, went on a revenge story, all in a game that is about robbing banks, drugs, and gang wars. Definitely in “The Room” territory where it’s so bad it’s good

I remember buying this game as a kid not knowing what it is. I played, I felt it was horrible but couldn't put my finger on the reason.

But it's still kinnda fun.

This one was the worst of all the CoJ games, it was a huge gamble for them, after playing the first two that were western themed games jumping to this.This CoJ game definitely hurt them, they did redeem themselves a little with CoJ Gunslinger but imagine what could have been, i wish the franchise would have continued, maybe today we would have two major western themed franchises, RDR and CoJ.The only good thing about this game was that they kept the McCall name just so they can link it to the previous games and it was nice to see that they represented Det.Benjamin McCall as a descendant of the McCall family

This is so dire. I did actually play the first Call of Juárez game and a good part of the second, and they weren't too bad. And of course CoJ Gunslinger which was excellent (except that last cemetery level can eff right off). But was this even the same studio as did those?

the gun and grenade animations/sounds were reused for Dead Island 1 😂😂 makes sense since it was made by the same developers

fun fact: the voice actor for Agent Guerra is the same dude who did the hispanic voice in Saints Row 2
