About me: Jill Hecker is a culinary storyteller who has been passionately cooking and studying food history for over 40 years. Her profound interest was peaked at a young age while reading current and vintage cookbooks; the recipes she discovered led to a curiosity of the dishes’ origins. After years of exploring and learning, she came to realize her favorite food decades are dishes from the 1930s-1980s. In 2019, Jill launched her renowned YouTube channel, YesterKitchen. With over 15k subscribers and growing, her channel celebrates these historic classic dishes along with their stories, keeping them from getting lost in history. Jill’s charismatic personality and passion for history shine through in every episode.
