Such a class act. Sammy isn’t even from America and wasn’t born here. One of the great moments of baseball.

“He’s carrying an American flag around the bases” I can imagine listening on radio and wanting to start a revolution

I never understand the hate on Sosa. He played hard, loved the fans, gave back, loved America, & never tested positive. 1st ballot hall of famer.

Sammy Sosa was my idol growing up. When I saw this as a kid shortly after 9/11, it had a profound impact on me...23 years later, it still does.

Back before "users" were being separated from nonusers, and everyone was just enjoying the excitement of the game, non-one brought more excitement and received more love than Sammy Sosa. Still good memories.

Sammy may have done some bad things in his career, but for this I absolutely respect him! Not even being born here yet still proud enough to show his patriotism for the country that gave him his big break. Respect Sammy Sosa!
