Always find it amazing that El Paso is ranked as the first or second safest city in America and then you have Juarez a stones throw away which is pretty much the unsafest city in Mexico.

El Paso has grown so much since we lived at Ft. Bliss in the 70's. We have so many fond memories of it and the surrounding area. Thanks for showing everything!

This was so interesting and enlightening. There's some beautiful architecture in El Paso, and the church towards the beginning of the video is gorgeous. In 1965 my girl friend's, later my wife, Father bought a new 1965 G.T.O and drove from Toccoa, Georgia to El Paso to visit her Uncle and his wife and daughter. Her Uncle James Smith was retired Army and met his wife in Juarez . He worked at Ft. Bliss for years and over the years he would bring his wife and daughter back to Georgia for a visit. He loved El Paso and he and his wife are buried there, his daughter still live there and works at the Social Security Office.

Great overview! I live in T or C, NM and El Paso is the closest large city. I feel much safer there than in Albuquerque especially in view of all the car thefts in Albuquerque. I go there for shopping every month or so. Great city. People don’t realize that Las Cruces, NM, El Paso and Juarez are one very large metropolitan area.

I have stayed at that Marriot also. I was in a higher floor large room. It had a view of Juarez and the stadium. Very nice. I’d recommend it.
