Tomatillo salsa is something I never experienced because I was a picky eater as a kid. When I started working in a kitchen, I began broadening my horizons and thinking about cooking in a more artistic light.

I basically did this and mixed it with a few other things for a verde enchilada sauce. Then made a bunch of chicken and cheese enchiladas with it. Served it for a Bday party and everyone loved it. I highly recommend this as a sauce, marinade or starter.

I stumbled upon this recipe video a year ago and decided to give it a try. My husband has begged me to make it for him at least once a month since then. 😂 I also like to make a creamy version for pouring over my burritos by adding some sour cream.
So delicious and simple.
Thank you, Arnie!

That looks good. My dad used to make Chile de molcajete but I don't remember how he did it. It wasn't green. It has Chile serrano and sometimes Chile del Monte. I miss my dad.

I just made this for the first time tonight! I learned that I should blacken all those ingredients in a VERY HOT cast iron for no more than 5 or 6 min, and wait for everything to cool before adding it to a blender full of cilantro and salt! I'll do my best to get better at making this :)
