How Tyler The Creator Makes Alt/Jazz Rap From Scratch

In this video I produce a Tyler the Creator inspired beat from scratch using influences from across his albums flower boy, igor and call me when you get lost. I envision what a new tyler the creator album might sound like based on his sonic evolution since the release of flower boy.

I demonstrate how to create synth parts and layer these up to create full sounding tracks, program drums like Tyler and add in a couple of unique elements on top. Other things I show in the tutorial include how to make melodies, how to build up the arrangement of a beat and how to create awesome bass parts.
