Where did you puchase the battery from, I need a new battery for the same laptop. Not too easy to find a genuine 15-ch011 battery.

You didn't show us the important part... The original battery have two metal plates glued to its bottom, the new ones doesn't. Do I need to peel them of and glue them to the new one? If so, how to do so safely?

I read/heard somewhere that with new battery, you have to drain it first. THEN, charge it fully after it dies. is this true?

I've a G7-2217cl that possibly needs it's bottom cover replaced. Left side will not close flush despite screw all in the way inside. Either hinge and or bottom cover broken inside. Better to buy new than buying 10 year old replacement part(s)?

The bottom of mine doesn’t pop off like this at all. Weird. It’s like something is glued down. Too afraid to break something. Guess I’m going to the shop.
