Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) is embarking on a 21-day expedition aboard the exploration vessel (E/V) Nautilus, marking the eighth year of partnership between ONC and Ocean Exploration Trust (OET).
Tune in to the #ONCabyss Summer 2024 Expedition from June 6-26 as the team conducts maintenance and scientific research at five sites within ONC’s 800km+ underwater seafloor cabled observatory NEPTUNE, located off the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Ocean enthusiasts all over the world will be able to explore the aftermath of the March earthquake swarm that occurred at the Endeavour site and revisit the Clayoquot Slope whale fall via cameras mounted on the remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) Hercules and Atalanta.
