I have mained Bayonetta since around the game's launch, with SIGNIFICANTLY more hours on her than any other character. I remember searching up tech for her and seeing people pulling off witch strike, but I could never find any videos explaining it well enough to where I could do it. Eventually, after a long LONG time and watching TamaP play the character I was able to figure it out. I'm so glad there's finally a good guide out there for a tech so useful

Really good job for a "simple" introductory guide for Witch Strike, you went over the main variables to execute it without doing into too much detail.
One thing I'll add though is that the height of characters is a strong variable onto landing Witch Strike itself, which is kinda linked to the hurtbox shifting that you've talked about but taller character are more prone to reverse Witch Strike compared to shorter ones, etc.
But still, very good complete guide !
