The Puttin' On The Ritz music video is a creative collaboration between Alpert, artist Glenn Kaino and filmmaker Afshin Shahidi with choreographers Napoleon & Tabitha D'umo from So You Think You Can Dance and produced by Kerith Lemon. One long camera shot follows the lead dancer on a musical journey motivating everyone to join the promenade. The music has an undeniable charm and that coupled with an energetic and intricate dance routine creates a magical pied-piper like scene illustrating the energy and delight of the popular song.

The video features musicians Lani Hall, Bill Cantos, Hussain Jiffry and Michael Shapiro and stars dancer Vincent Noiseux, top 20 of the first season of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, alongside corps dancers like Kherington Payne and others that have been seen on So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew, Dancing with the Stars, This is It, Step Up and more.

Not only is Puttin' On The Ritz the newest featured track on Alpert's album Steppin' Out, release slated for late Summer 2013, but the song and choreography from the music video will be featured in the Zumba Fitness World Party video game which has a launch date of October 2013

I wore out a few Herb Alpert albums in Jr & High School as I was learning the trumpet. Met Herb in person at our State Fair the same year I met my future wife. We celebrated our 50th last year, & this video brings back some great memories. Thanks, Herb, for being a true idol for me ! You sound as great as ever !

just noticed on the steadicamforum the steadicam operator (Chris Cunningham) that shot this "oner" for this video. I'm a novice steadicam pilot operator plus a DJI Ronin user but this video separates the men from the boys when it comes to real steadicam operation. I'm in 1st grade and this guy has a PHD! very impressive!!! also as much as i love my Ronin gimbal it has to be said that a 3 axis gimbal just can't be as expressive as a real steadicam when it comes to quick response and turning on a dime. hats off to the cat that shot this beauty!! p.s. love herb alpert!
