I live in Albuquerque and the eclipse was awesome. We were able to see it in its entirety using special eclipse glasses.

I viewed the Ring of Fire a few years ago in McHenry, Illinois. West of Chicago. It was amazing. I couldn't take my eyes off of this spectacular episode!

when I was a teenager, a long time ago, I stripped out my cheap telescope and rigged it up so it would project the Sun onto a piece of paper and not catch fire. first total eclipse in my lifetime that I remembered. my idiot friend tried to snap a direct pic of the eclipse with a disposable camera. such a dufus.
