The town of Celebration was first loosely imagined by Walt Disney himself, though the current town differs wildly from Disney’s original idea.

No perfect towns, no perfect societies; cause; no perfect people.

I lived in Celebration for a brief time in 2009. I loved it and thought it was absolutely beautiful. BUT we were constantly getting fines for the stupidest things. Like if we moved the curtains and they were in a different position for more than 24 hours then we got fined. Our mailbox broke for a day or so, FINE. Someone parked a bike behind our house, it wasn't even ours, FINE. It got out of hand.

It was sort of sad living there because it was not what Walt wanted. Plus it was over priced...

I lived/grew up there. It does have Disney vibes and does have a quite a manufactured look. Its a neat place

I was really hoping you were going to do the whole video in that wig.

Walt's vision of a futuristic town would have been much more interesting

as someone who lives near celebration, the pricing is NOT average to the surrounding area.

An entire development designed and owned by Disney. I honestly cannot think of any place that I would like to live even less, with the possible exception of Damascus or Beirut.

Wow, it sounds kinda like that area they drive tourists through in north Korea.

Disney's Declaration of Covenants, or Sheldon's Roommate Agreement?

I live near here and have competed against their swim team in high-school. The town has earned the nickname Pleasantville by my peers after the movie that came out at the time and perfectly matched the artificial vibe it was letting on.

LOL. Especially since we were one of the first families to put down $ 1000. Later to be denied buying as the first years you had to be an American citizen ....and prove it. We had just immigrated and they would not let us purchase. That's OK . We found a house 3 miles away and have been happy ever since. We wanted to be nearby as our children were automatically enrolled in the Celebration school. From day 1 my boys commented they never saw a black or Puerto Rican till 2 years later. As for actors walking the streets? That's 100% true as we were the family reporting this to the Orlando Sentinel. Our dog Casey encountered a trendy couple with Afghan hound days after the first families moved in. I was asked when my shift ended? The rest is well documented all over the internet. Is the town a "little too perfect" ? Depends on you. We love it and eat and shop there every week. Rules by the truck load but that's fine with us.It keeps those out that dislike rules and attracts thousands of civic minded residents. Recent census reports reveal that as a fact.

I used to deliver Amazon packages in Celebration. A very strange place. Bunch of beautiful houses and very wealthy. Though the place always seemed off.

They did what?

If you're born in the town, do you have to sign the covenant?

There is a mistake 40 seconds in. Epcot is in Disney world not Disney Land they are 2 different theme parks on separate sides of the country

You point out all these things but at the very beginning mentioned "On land, they used to dump alligators " What else could a person possibly want in life? The children LOVE alligators, please think of the children.

I remember someone mentioning he had an aunt and uncle who was considering moving to Celebration some years ago but decided not to due to the strict rules (for one, from what he said, they had a dog and they feared could be "removed" at any time as per the rule with pets).

I’m an electrician in central Florida, I worked on houses and some apartments in celebration. When the houses were built. They were the most advanced for the time. Like the first smart home but then the rest of the citizens in the county started getting jealous and the worst groups of people would drive to celebration to use their hospital. The jealous people demanded to bring their kids from across the county to go to celebration schools. And ruined the whole community
