How to: Engine compression test

In this video, I will show you how to use a COMPRESSION TESTER and go through the procedure of COMPRESSION TESTING (iba ito sa COMPRESSION RATIO).

A compression test reveals the condition of your engine's valves, valve seats, and piston rings. A healthy engine should have at least 100-130psi depending on the Make and Model of the motorcycle or scooter (please refer to your owner's or service manual).

Too low, there might be sealing issues between the valves and valve seats or a blow by in the piston rings which translates to power loss and poor engine performance.

Too high and you might run into problems like DETONATION.
