Dabo Swinney’s bond with Clemson’s Nolan and Kevin Turner goes beyond football | College Football

"My Brother's Keeper" by Marty Smith documents the longtime friendship between former Alabama Crimson Tide teammates Kevin Turner and now Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. ALS took Turner's life in 2016, but his legacy still lives on through his son, Nolan, who earned a scholarship to play under his "father figure" at Clemson.

Great story!! I know it gave Kevin a needed piece of mind to know his son and family would be taken care of after his death. I am a big Bama fan but we Bama fans are proud and happy for Dabo. He is a great man. Who wouldn't want their son to play and be mentored by such a great guy.

Dam. I knew football could cause concussions, other head trauma, and spinal injuries. But it can possibly eventually cause ALS? With every football can take from you, you really need to love it to play it for a long time.
