Big Buck Bunny 60fps - 720p interlaced simulation

Показать описание
A simulation of how interlaced video looks when played back properly without converting it into a progressive video. The two fields have been unpacked into two full frames. The missing lines have been left black like they would be on a CRT. This leads to a loss of brightness.

Note that the perceived vertical resolution is still close to 720p, despite each frame only containing 360 lines, this is due to the displayed lines altering.

The framerate of the video is also full 60fps, as a 30p video containing interlaced video is really 60fps of image data when unpacked. Playing back interlaced video at 30fps is wrong.

Some quality loss due to Youtube compression is to be expected.

This video looks best when viewed unscaled in its original resolution, viewing it in a different resolution or without proper vsync will lead to glitches and flickering.

Video filter for creating this video:

ffmpeg -vf scale=1280:720,tinterlace=interleave_top,separatefields,tinterlace=pad,setdar=1280:720
