I met him once at a meet and greet at the Venetian Resort in Vegas. He was about an hour late, but he genuinely apologized to everyone, but the apology wasn't needed. It was pouring rain, and we all knew it wasn't his fault. The strip can flood easily.
The cool thing is that he was very gracious and took individual pictures with everyone, so we all got a great memento of the evening. I didn't get a sense of any outsized ego from him. He took his time with each of us. I'm sure he didn't have to do that. He could have easily just gone through the motions and left much sooner. I was pleasantly surprised by his humility. Became an even bigger fan afterward.
