Section 107, a provision of the BNSS, 2023, aimed at fast-track solution, is laden with legal pitfalls. It also breaches and stands in contrast to Article 300 which provides rights to victims to get fair justice. This provision, attachment and forfeiture of property in hasty manner, can be caused of injustice while law should be just and reasonable for every aspects.
