There was always something terrifyingly beautiful about general hux in this movie. Their was such a potential of making him a terrifyingly amazing speaker and general who lead with a fist of pure brutal iron destroying everything in his path to build it with the remains of before and its bodys. He could have been something as terrifying to even speak his name as darth Vader was in the galaxy.

The sequels are such an unfortunate waste of potential, and you won’t find better proof of it than what happened to the First Order
In The Force Awakens they started as this mysterious, merciless regime ready to conquer the galaxy or burn it all down
They had the potential to be such a genuinely awesome antagonist, they had everything working in their favor, a great aesthetic, a great frontman character (gen. Hux is still easily the best villain in the sequels imo), their symbol and uniforms were honestly cooler than those of the Empire, which really is an achievement
Then everything went to shit…
