Interesting segment. Unfortunately, Dr. Taber knows very little of her own family's history. I should know: I am her father, and I have researched the subject to some degree. That includes vital records, census records, personal accounts from her grandparents and great-grandparents while they were still living, etc. While the accounts Dr. Taber gives of her family's history fit neatly into her world view and socio-political narrative, they are not accurate.

Youre doing (and you’ve done) good work Keri. I believe one of the most important things you are trying to do is CORRECT the ahistorical narrative of the south and the civil war which has been pushed on us through many avenues one being the history books in schools across America.
