How to grow Plums – from Planting to Fruiting Trees

Paulo videos a plum tree he planted over a three year period to show you its progress to fruiting.

He buys packs of small grafted whips of the prolific fruiting plum Victoria. He then grows them on for two years in pots getting them strong for planting. He then plants the trees into their final position.

He prepares the planting it well and deep and gives them a good watering in the autumn time. He then waits another two years and you get to see the first setting fruits.

We have a plum tree in our backyard from previous owners.
We moved in about a year ago, and we didn't get any fruit last summer.

This year there are plenty, but it's dropping a lot. Do you think this is because there's only one tree, so it's not being properly pollinated?
