My old Lego 12V System has been standing in a box in the attic for at least 20 years. A visit back home with my son gave me a good excuse to set everything up again and I was surprised to see everything running almost like on day one. All lamps, switches and signals are functioning. The only things I needed to replace were the rubber on the wheels. But luckily a tube for a bike wheel cut in small pieces is doing that job very well.
All the stuff is 25 to 30 years old and I am amazed by the quality of this toys. Don't think there is much out there nowadays that is produced that well.

I am showing off my old freight train with to engines and the fast passenger train. I also have the old yellow passenger train, that is standing in the background. It is still working too.

i love this era, have a lot of it myself. the tracs from the next era is better but the extras from the 80s make it beautiful.
