Mitch spends a day on the water with his father in-law, Bill. The two fly fish an unnamed lake in Quebec for smallmouth bass. It's a fantastic summer day - one to enjoy now that winter is here.

Torn between my own creation, a baitfish slider, or a Clouser. But I'd probably have to throw a Clouser 😂

Scotties mcfly, weighted like an anchor to get down deep where the big fish are.

My go to fly would be a bead head black wollybugger with some flash and legs

My wife and I will be spending 4 months this summer in Quebec. I will be fishing the small lakes near Quebec City from my kayak. As a southern Louisianian, I do not fly fish. I'm trying to figure out what tackle and techniques to use for yellow perch, crappie, walleye, and perhaps bass. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i’ve only fly fished for smallies once visiting the fam back east, and beadhead olive woolly bugger was The Biz 💸

IF I had smallies near my I'd probably begin with the unbeatable conehead black or olive wooly bugger

I haven’t fished for smallies in years (not by choice) but if I were I would probably throw on a jiggy fat minnow.
