Transformers Rise of the Beasts 7 | Unicron Role & Trilogy Explained

Transformers Rise of the Beasts. What's going guys? RBG here bringing you another video on Transformers Rise of the Beasts. As you know Paramount recently revealed that this film will be the first in a brand new trilogy. And many are wondering what this new line of films will center around. Like there's still a lot of unanswered questions regarding what continuity these new movies are gonna take place in. So I'm gonna do my best to clarify you guys. If you're new to the channel and specifically here for news on Transformers Rise of the Beasts or any other TF projects. Be sure to subscribe and hit that notification bell to stay updated. We're just 1 year away and we got a lot of stuff to go over. Anyways in my last video we got our first look at what Optimus Prime's robot and alt mode will look like for the upcoming live action film. And this came in the form of a newly announced figure from the Bumblebee Cyberverse toyline which you can totally tell is something that's actually for the upcoming movie. As I mentioned before this toy was most likely made shortly before the original release date for Transformers Rise of the Beasts. But since Paramount pushed that release back a year Hasbro had to ultimately release the figure anyways to avoid losing money. And the best way to do that was just nameslap the Cyberverse logo on it. Shoutouts to Haysie95 for pointing out that his new truck form looks like a reference to his 2nd vehicle mode from Transformers Prime. Like I didn't think about it at first but it does give off major Beast Hunter Optimus vibes. After Optimus was revived by the Forge of Solus and granted a new beefier robot mode he needed a new alt mode to match his build. Special Agent Fowler helps him out by bringing in a massive military truck, described as an "experimental, all-terrain, expeditionary fighting vehicle".

This newly announced trilogy has so much potential if the producers do it right! Do you think they'll drop the ball?

I do like the idea that the next few films could crossover No-Way-Home-style or possibly connect with the Bay continuity. Bring some proper closure to the Bay timeline, even if not every TF fan would be on-board with it. So that hardcore fans would get the much better and well-written TF films while the Bay fans can finally have their series reach a conclusion.

I'm definitely just excited that it's not a dead franchise yet. When I was a kid I thought that the bay movies and the WFC video games was going to be the end. I had no idea we would get to see TFP or anything like that. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to this :)

Bumblebee was a good start, but it still had some bits of its original purpose as a prequel to the Bayverse, now they have enough space to make things right.

I'm all with Unicron, the guy needs to make a proper appearance at some point.

Although I grew up w/ Gen 1 TF, Beast Wars is still my fav "era" of the property (mainly because I loved animals as a kid & that series revolutionized the IP w/ concepts that have suck around til today).

Unicron deserves a chance to be finally seen as well as his ancient, booming, black bass voice to be heard. I still would like to know who would be voicing him. I was thinking of James Earl Jones, Clancy Brown, Josh Brolin, or Benedict Cumberbatch. Maybe John Noble can reprise his voice again and maybe make Unicron’s mouth move often while he’s speaking.

I think the storyline will be on point. Knowing they are filming in Peru around Machu Pichu. The megalithic sites are enormous and in rare places. They will come up with something to connect the old sites to the Transformers.

I wouldn’t mind the universe’s mixing as long as they don’t overdose one the Bayverse style. There has to be a balance for this to work. However, even if that works, many might complain that transformers are ripping of spider-man and so the twist wouldn’t be that good… but I refuse to look at the bad side of this potential!

Man if this is a new universe. I hope we get to see some bayverse elements like Ironhides Twin Cannons and sideswipes swords and wheel foots. And maybe some transformers that people liked more because of the bayverse. Like Blackout and Barricade and maybe even the fallen.

I loved all the Bay films & Bumblebee, but super excited for this one, especially if it becomes a trilogy. Great Video

A great thing if this is still connected to the Bay directed films is that with Megatron on ice. This could give other antagonists time to shine, like Shockwave and Starscream fight over leadership of the Decepticons. We know that Shockwave was on Earth as early as 2009 from the newspaper clipping of a G1 Shockwave. Would be awesome if this trilogy is building up Shockwave as a Villain. For the Prequel Era.

A bit off topic but I always dreamed of some High quality Transformers Team based - FPS game. What could make the game unique is the ability to transform. So the combat system can go from something like Overwatch/Valorant to something similar to battle mode in Mario Kart games. They can even use war machines to give the game more options to win like in Star Wars Battlefront

Maybe another reason for the delay was to take out things from this film like the Decepticons and Unicron's involvement and focus mainly on The Autobots, Maximals and Terrorcons. The next 2 films (if ROTB is Successful) could deal with things like Megatron and Unicron.

I don't mind if they look like zoids to begin with as long as they reach this thumbnail level of awesome. I'm sure Shockwave could help with this.
