Sad to hear all this defamation now Liam has passed... there's no single proof of this. No police official statement, just a booked mark as "fiction" so Maya has the right to say whatever she wants without facing legal trouble. Maybe Liam made mistakes but the way Maya talks without acknowleding any kind of responsability on her side makes me think what was her part in this too. I don't believe he was perfect. But I don't believe any of the over the top supposed violent details from the book. I don't believe the articles about him sending those thing. I think she was trying to milk as much as she possibly could out of her only achievement in life (dating a celebrity while trying to become one). He received so much hate, and it was based on a fucking fictional book, I still can't get over that. It was a toxic relationship indeed. But now he's dead. It likely was preventable. She said the book is fiction and inspired by their relationship so that she could make him seem 10× worse than in reality and "not be lying" because she did technically say it is fiction. I agree that if he had actually abused her then he would have immediately been in legal trouble considering her family being in law. Her dad likely encouraged them to date right away because it was a last minute shot at propelling the family to fame. The fact that Liam was always reaching out to her in desperation shows how he actually trusted her and thought she at least cared about him anough to help him. His mental health was fragile..they were not treated well by their management in 1D. Seriously, like you have noo idea how bad it was. Also, consider the fact that Liam barely had friends before fame then spent 5 years on top of the world loved and adored by millions upon millions world wide then not only did that come to a halt but following the band's split he was nearly alwaysss being criticized even for the most minor things. Many things/people played a part in his mental health collapse and drug relapse but..let's be real here, Maya held a huge slice of that pie. I don't think she should be attacked left and right, but she deserves the guilt if she even feels it. She did a lot in attempt to tear him down and none of it was necessary. She genuinely seems like she has no empathy..she wanted to chase fame and she caught blame instead.
