Nullarbor Wrecks, Barn find, Paddock find. old holdens, old fords, panel vans. Koonalda Homestead

Here is Part 1 of the wrecks at Koonalda Homestead on the iconic Nullarbor Plain in remote South Australia. 2:13 Ford Zephyr Mk2 station wagon .Thats a rare car, even when new.
2:54. Early hi line Mk2 Zephyr.
3:08 later model Mk2 Zephyr with the Australia only trim package. Another low volume car.
7:57 Military pattern S Series Bedford 4x4 .I was familiar with those as the Army had them in NZ when I was just starting work. Never knew any came to OZ though. And who ever drove a mini out there was pretty brave.

Some of these beasts have been sitting out there for so long that you can't even tell what colour they used to be. The sun has cooked them.
Not being coastal cars, those bodies would have still been free of rust years after they were dumped there.
I've said it before:- if you own one of these and don't want to do anything with them, pass them on to those who will. The money you're paid will buy a case of beer or ten. Everyone wins.

Love it mate I didn’t realise there was a Old Highway that ran through the Nullarbor and I done about 20 trips across there in my younger years I can’t wait to see more buddy

The old dirt road across the Nullarbor used to jar bones and it was not good on cars at all . I have done the Nullarbor a few time a few time when there was 700 miles of of rough corrugated bull dust road

Mr troopy, you probably have tried there but down the back of Madura roadhouse was a pile of breakdowns.
The bloke (Angry) who looked after the generators layed claim to them, dont know if they would still be there.
