How to Make the Best French Toast - #1 secret trick revealed!

My French toast brings all the kids to the table. Damn right, it's better than yours. I can teach you, but you have to watch. I'm just playing, not trying to insult you.
Dad has the secret trick for french toast perfection and it is to ditch the butter and go with vegetable oil! Thats right, do not use butter when cooking up your french toast. The reason for this is that butter burns a too low a temperature and you need a higher heat to get a nice crust on your french toast. Save the butter for putting on top of the cooked french toast, you will thank Dad.
Equipment:
Electric Griddle
Ingredients:
- 4 slices Bread
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 4 tbsp Vegetable Oil Estimate
Instructions:
01. Preheat Electric Griddle to 390 Degrees. If you don't have an electric griddle you can put a non stick pan over medium high heat.
02. Crack eggs in a mixing bowl.
03. Add Heavy Cream
04. Add Vanilla
05. Add Cinnamon
06. Mix well with a whisk.
07. Dip your bread in the mixture and flip. Make sure the bread it totally coated.
08. Add vegetable oil to your griddle or pan.
09. Place your bread on the cooking surface and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes. Flipping early is better than late because you can always flip it back to get it more browned. You can't go back it you burn it.
10. Once the french toast has a nice golden brown crust on it serve immediately or move it over to a wire cooling rack if you are not serving right away. When you are ready to serve you can give them a quick reheat on the griddle or pan. This avoids soggy french toast.
