About this video: Fabric is one of the most popular Minecraft mod loaders. There are thousands of amazing Fabric, and generally, Fabric is more light and efficient than other mod loaders. For this reason and many others, more and more mods are moving to support Fabric with their mods.

With that being said, you have found this video because you want to know how to install Fabric in Minecraft. Luckily, this video is our complete guide on how to download Fabric, get Fabric mods, and make sure everything works perfectly. That includes getting the Fabric API as it is required for most Fabric mods.

First things first, we need to go over how to download Fabric for Minecraft. You can find a link in the description above that will to you to our complete text guide on how to get Fabric in Minecraft. Once you are there, click on the “Download Fabric” button to be taken to Fabric’s official download page.

On the Fabric download page, click on the “Download universal jar” link to start the Fabric installer downloading. You may need to keep or save Minecraft Fabric depending on your browser.

After the Fabric installer is downloaded, we can move to how to install Fabric for Minecraft. To do this, open up the Fabric file you downloaded with Java by right-click it, selecting “Open With”, and then, “Java”. If you don’t have Java, you can find a link to download it in the description above.

In the Fabric installer, select the Minecraft version of Fabric you want. Ensure that “Create Profile” is select, and click the “Install” button. Fabric will the install.

The only reasons that Fabric might not install in Minecraft is because Minecraft or the Minecraft Launcher or open. If that’s the case, make sure they are both closed and reinstall Fabric. You also want to make sure you have played the vanilla version of Minecraft for the Minecraft version you are installing Fabric for.

At this point though, Fabric is installed. You will need to download some Fabric mods. Just make sure the Fabric mods you are downloading are for the Fabric mod loader and for the version of Minecraft that you install Fabric for. Older mods will not work in newer Minecraft versions.

You will also want to download the Fabric API. There is a link in the description above to get the Fabric API. This is required for a lot of Fabric mods to work properly.

To install your Fabric mods in Minecraft, open the Minecraft Launcher. Then, click on “Installations” at the top. From there, find the Fabric installation. Hover over it and select the folder that appears. This will open your .minecraft folder. In it, you should have a mods folder. If you don’t, just create one called “mods”.

Open the mods folder and move all of the Minecraft Fabric mods you want to install to it. This includes the Fabric API.

Now, in order to play Minecraft Fabric mods, go back to the Minecraft Launcher and play Minecraft using the Fabric installation. Once you are in-game, your Fabric mods will be active!
