That said, brilliant trial. Lots of stuff to kill you but it doesn't feel overbearing when you've died a few times. Definitely more on the Nidhogg level of difficulty than the Thordan one :) Good good. Also the second phase. whew that transition and that piece of music.
Also still getting my head wrapped around DRK at 70, will have to do some proper thinking about all their abilities which I haven't really sat and done since SB released :P

From 1:08-1:24 I tear up every time. That part is so powerful and and elegant at the same time. I get overwhelmed with emotion every time I hear it.. I’m happy to hear such perfection in the flow of music, then at the same time, I’m sad because I know it will end.

There was a lot of music in Heavensward, and even more in ARR. I genuinely couldn't see how Masayoshi Soken could match his incredible music in Stormblood. I just didn't see how he could; the music in Heavensward in particular was so good.

I learned a lesson: I should never, ever have doubted Soken.

EDIT TO ADD: The fully orchestrated musical call backs to Azys Lla make me freaking GIDDY.

Also want to mention, technically the expansion name "Stormblood" was a hint to this fight. Apparently the original dragon from China, Shenlong, is the god of storms and rain.

I can't decide which of Shinryu's theme I like more... This one takes a much more classical approach than most of FFXIV's music, and really tells a story through its song.
