As an American I literally can not even imagine war on US soil in the modern era. It was wild seeing the bullet holes in London.

Parts of the John Deere plant in Mannheim were a tank factory back then. You can still see the traces of bomb shrapnels on some of the buildings.

War is a horrible thing, and everything possible should be done to prevent and deter it. The bombed out Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church was left that way to remind everyone of what happens in wars.

Traces of German bombing can be seen all over England to this day .
Britain is still waiting for ' The homes fitfor heroes" .
Sadly most of the heroes are long gone never to see these homes.

As a polish they still own as a lot of money for all destroyed in Poland!!!
