DNA Structure - This is the video on structure, function and types of DNA along with NEET PG and AIIMS MCQs.
Elucidated by Watson and Crick based on the X-ray diffraction picture taken by Rosalind Franklin in 1953 and got Nobel prize in 1962.

DNA serves as the genetic material for cells of both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
In eukaryotes, DNA is located in the nucleus separated from cytoplasm by the nuclear membrane.
The structure of DNA (nucleic ACID) is described in terms of primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary levels.
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a polymer of repeating subunits called deoxyribonucleotides.
In the polymer nucleotides are joined to one another by 3’, 5’-phosphodiester bonds.

Rosalind Franklin didn't get a Nobel prize. She died before 1962 at an early age. Watson and Crick got a Nobel prize with Maurice Wilkins.
