Just a small fact about the Tannenberg battle: Both the red army and the german army had forcefully recruited estonian men to fight and right over in that battle these estonian soldiers fought each other. Really tragic stuff.

I've been to the Sorve peninsula, and its so crazy that there at the very end of it were ww2 bunkers, literally a couple meters from the sea, facing inland.

This might be the greatest history related channel about WW2. Everything is detailed, correct and interesting to watch. This channel is the reason I started learning so much about World War 2.
Great work.

The Battle of the Tannenberg Line is a major Eastern Front battle I have never heard of before. Thank you for another detailed and informative video. A single map can convey pages of history. Animated maps show a whole extra level of detail.

I suppose this type of warfare had rhythm: days of rapid movement, weeks of static warfare, days of rapid movement, weeks of static warfare. Your animation shows this in a way that non-animated maps can't.

I currently study in Tallinn, and have been to Narva and Tartu so far. This was a really interesting video, I appreciate the historical perspective given about how the war was fought in a country that most people where I’m from can’t find in a map.

Well done as always! Straightforward, concise, and not too flashy like some others. Looking forward to more.

Really love these intimate looks at much smaller parts of the war that no one else covers, especially not at the detail you do. Great work

great content. this video gave me a lot of information and knowledge about the battles that happen near Estonia and what led to the encirclement of the German army group north into the Courland pocket.

Your channel i think is the most underrated in YouTube. Such great content yet such little fanbase

Impressive videos as always ! Have you ever thought of doing videos that focus specifically on the operations of minor axis armies on the Eastern front? Italy, Romania, Hungary... Each could be interesting in their own.

My great grand father from my mother side (soviet) fought there (Baltic&Leningrad) from 1941 to 1944 as an engineer commander
