When soldiers are out on a mission, getting supplies to them can be dangerous, even deadly. That’s why Bell is working to provide an unmanned solution for transporting military supplies. This is APT, an unmanned vehicle that moves like a helicopter with the speed of a plane, delivering what our soldiers need, faster.

First!

Cool concept & nice prototype. Tailsitters are impractical for manned aircraft, but perfect for unmanned. Wings still are a bit stubby though, so low L/D ratio. Wing extensions could be added that fold in on landing to reduce ground footprint, but I suppose that's too heavy and too complex for an application like this.

Just like in one of the old ww2 movies. The enemy soldier walk up the the American line with a a white flag..
"HI. Your drone dropped alof of ammo on us, but its not compatible. We did enjoy the Hersey chocolate and cheese. We would like to give you three pork MRE, which we did not find edible in exchange for your surrender"
