What do you hope to see during the premiere of LotR: The Rings of Power?

How it fits into the timeline:

- Take the Second Age of Middle Earth
- Remove the first 3250 years of the age.
- Take the years 1200-1700 of the second age. Make them happen mostly in the first season as if they were happening in the year 3250 concurrent with the other events of that year and the few following years.
- Compress two hundred remaining years of history into a timeframe about as long as that of the story in Lord of the Rings.
- Have Gandalf fall out of the sky into middle earth about 1500 years before he arrives in Middle Earth under the old timeline.
- Have the Balrog show up in Moria 2000 years earlier than in the original timeline.

Elves don’t look like… elves, unlike Peter Jackson’s movie where you can feel their aura, mystery and magic. Here, the just look like humans

Where in The Lord of the Rings timeline does The Rings of Power fit?
Nowhere.
When Tom Stoppard wrote "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead", he created an absurdist play focused on two minor characters in Hamlet. It wasn't "based on the works of Shakespeare". It didn't pretend to be the play Shakespeare didn't write. It most certainly didn't replace the words of Shakespeare.
The Rings of Power, on the other hand, borrows character names from Tolkien, and then replaces Tolkien's creation with Amazon's invention. Any resemblance to Tolkien is superficial.
Stoppard's play was true craft. The Rings of Power isn't.

Not LOTR since they can't even get the timeline right. GANDALF WAS NOT IN THE SECOND AGE!

I assume gonna be a fever dream of Frodo when was hurt by the morgul knife, cause is the only way that fit into Tolkiens work. this show contradict facts of the books, is like bad fanfiction.

I thought the Balrog was in Moria since the days of Morgoth. It was asleep, and then the dwarves woke it up.

It doesn’t, because it’s not Tolkien and they have no rights to LOTR. Large aspects of this show contradict tolkiens timeline, thus are not cannon.

Just as SoM wasn’t cannon (even if a good game)

The timeline is completely messed up. Galadriel was still living in Lindon in the show, although she left Lindon in the original Lore between the years 10-20 SA. The one ring was made in the year 1600 SA and Elendil was born 3119 SA. Comparing the one rings manufacture date to Elendils birth date he was born over 1600 years too early compared to the books. But when you look at the Date Galadriel left Lindon in the books, he is Born 3200 years earlier than original.

Here’s why rings of power fits within the timeline. It doesn’t.

If Rings of Power ends up being bad cause the ones making it don't care to retell Tolkien's work. Go out and read Saga. It'll be everything this show is trying to do with diversity and representation done right.
