There Is a River (Original Version) by Jonny Priano

There Is a River was composed in June of 2015. It is a setting of Psalm 46:4-6, 10-11. Unlike the 2018 edition that was created for publication (link below), this original version has additional material, most notably the inclusion of verse 6b and an extended ending.

Text:
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the sacred home of the Most High.
God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
From the very break of day, God will protect it.
The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble!
He raised His voice, the earth melted.

"Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
The Lord Almighty is here with us;
O the God of Jacob is our fortress.
