I walked those same streets and steps last year when I visited Italy and Greece for my 50th birthday....to see those ruins and imagine them in all their glory....it's something that can't really be explained, it's something you have to see for yourself and take it all in. And the food!!! OMG I ate so well over there. Enjoy your travels and take it all in!!!

Go to city centre and get real good desls on bus tours. Go sea the temple of Apollo, the oracle at delphi, and see if you can get to Mount Olympus. The museums are very interesting. See if you can find a traditional Greek Taverna, Buy a gold necklace with an ancient coin attached, Get a selfie with a statue of Nike. Have fun. Athens is incredable. 🎉
