It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years since Heroin Diaries was released. I remember my dad recommended this band to me when this album came out, & I was completely blown away by how good it was, and I still feel that way 10 years later. I read this book right after I overdosed on 2008. I recently had 18 months of sobriety and relapsed and for 3 months I was overdosing every other day but my boyfriend was saving me and I finally decided to get clean. It reminds me when I was like 22 or 23, fucked up, thought I wasted my whole life and started to have s thoughts as it was all lost in my mind. Because I was raised to never fuck up even slightest. I got help. Tbh I've fucked up stuff at least few times through years. Still alive, still going forward and still doing better and better with small steps. I can fuck up stuff sometimes, everybody fucks up sometimes, it happens. I can fuck up, get myself together and continue going forward. When you stumble on the pavement it's not like pavement will suddenly disappear
