I review the excellent little Orion Pocket Rocket signal flare. This is a lightweight pen-type flare that comes with 3 flares and the launcher for around $40. This is a great way to increase your signaling capability without breaking the bank.

I keep two 30min international orange smoke grenades, and a pack of flash strobes vacuum sealed in my ghb.
They can be found at any fireworks stand.
I've also got at least one laser pointer with me 24/7, as well as a couple in my bag.

The hazmat charge can cost more than the flare gun kit.
The best way I found to get this product was to order it from Bass Pro
Shops, for the best price I found online at $24.99, and have it shipped
directly to one of their stores.
Their is no shipping charge and no hazmat charge which would have been
$28.50.
I will pick kit at their Tacoma WA store and total cost was $24.99.
I hope this will help anyone wonting to purchase this item.

Great products -poor business model. It is very hard to find their products.I guess they are not interested in increased sales.
