Workers at the casino are not the casino. The casino makes no money when you tip, and the worker makes the same money whether the casino takes your money or not.

The person who pays out your handpay probably gets a regular wage, but in much of the country, that’s potentially less than $8.

A dealer may get tip wages and a server usually makes tip wages. Again, in much of the country, it’s under $4 before tips, plus if you don’t tip, the government expects you to, and takes it out of the worker’s pocket.

Casinos make ridiculous profits, and should be paying living wages to all employees, but until they do, you’re not affecting them with whatever you tip.

It depends on the worker imo. Some are nicer than others.

You're not tipping the casino. You're tipping the worker who's probably getting minimum wage.

How about the casino tips their own employees, i.e. pay them a wage? They don't give me any money when I lose.

So, $1200-400(taxes) = 800(roughly) give a $40 tip.. 5%
I think is better.
