She has that fast vibrato that is more common in middle eastern / Moroccan vocals ...
I've seen a musician / producer speaking on how almost EVERY song esp. studio releases /
commercials / and movies with music are pitch corrected now ...
Even older music that is re-released is studio pitch corrected .
~ It's not what you expect when you buy older music, but It's the industry standard .
It's not natural sounding like a live performance ( as Fauzia's ' stripped ' videos )
Pitch correction : is fixing minor imperfections in vocals .
Auto tuning : can be used as a stylistic choice, transforming the singer's voice into another instrument
that can be edited and altered indefinitely.
I think they used both pitch correction and auto tune on her voice here . ( It's the sound people want to buy )
I guess it's a sub conscious preference : The man-machine technological fixated world we live in now manifesting .

Hi Saeed! I'm with you. Faouzia is WAY too unknown. Maybe this will be the one that lifts her out of obscurity. Because this IS a banger! It's strange to think she's obscure, really, but she's had very little visibility, outside of the internet. And the Arabic world. Although her original single for "Tears of Gold" has had, hits. Which is astonishing honestly, seeing as it had such limited airplay. And the duet with John Legend (who admittedly has star power) has a quarter billion views. I guess that's commercial success. But I want her name on everyone's lips, on every radio, on every chart and performing at every awards show. And winning! 🙂
