spirit tracks was so goated and having zelda as a companion throughout the entire game is an experience not only no other zelda pulled off but it just makes you feel a type of way i can’t really describe. it’s like having her throughout the journey pushing you forward and finally saving her and having her thank you just hit different than having visions of her or whatever splashed through, and only really seeing her at the end

spirit tracks was the first zelda game that i beat to completion. it was when i was 12 during a boring and uneventful summer break when my parents were at work, the switch had just released a few months prior and i bought an r4 card on amazon, i put a few roms of ds games that i didn’t own physical copies of. the game is great and i have very fond memories of it.

5:27 I believe Malladus was a separate Demon King, possibly one who tried to seize power while Ganondorf was stuck in his mortal form (before being stuck in stone). Similarly we see Bellum, another Demon who tried to seize power. Granted Bellum had hijacked the Ocean King’s realm to be his hunting grounds, with the Phantom Ship as his method.

Also, multiple crowns named after Ruto, the Zora sage of water are found in New Hyrule, which means the Hyrulian Zora did not all turn into Rito, but some tried to colonize New Hyrule and seemingly fail.

Theorizer really be filling in the gaps here! I would dispute the idea that only Tetra's crew settled the land, though. I think they found the land, returned to the 'windwaker archeplego', and recruited/solicited the peoples there to come with them. (Seems like a pretty good deal to me if I lived on windfall island)


Also, yeahy, Chancellor Cole totally had Tetra or her daughter killed off screen. The zelda in spirit tracks we see is way too young for her mother to not be around unless she died prematurely.
