Welcome to my little cottage on wheels!!!! 🤗
My names Josie btw 😊 an English girl.
And I have been building this bus for ... a while now ..
and its finally finished!! I filmed this video after living in my bus for one month... and today I have just realised (by a happy accident) its my two month anniversary of living in here 😍 (I moved in on Star Wars day ... may the 4th be with you 😁) 🤟

Build wise - everything you see - I built from scratch, including most of the soft furnishings.
I was a complete DIY beginner, and I don't pretend that this was an easy task for little old me, but its been so empowering to learn the skills and now after 3 years of hard work I'm so happy with the fruits of my labour.
I recommend it to anyone that wants to give it a go! we can all do hard things ☺️ 🙌

I did pay the pros to help me with a few things however:
- Welding
- Gas
- electrics
- log burner
- diesel heater
- plumbing

(it took me 3 years to have a go at all the woodwork and sewing... I thought perhaps it would take me 10 years if I undertook all of that as well lol 😅) - but I do harbour some regrets on this matter.

After watching this video back, I made myself laugh a few times just because of the outrageously posh English phrases I sometimes say in my voice overs (I wonder if you know the ones I mean? ) - said for effect FYI... not sure I know anyone that talks like that in real life lol 😝

THIS BUS - Was from FAR the most detailed I’ve ever seen. (and I’m a commercial designer) The functionality is surreal, the layout is brilliant, to be able to create a private bedroom, a 2 piece washroom, (3 if you use the shower to wash hands) a proper living room or dining room, a complete gourmet kitchen, extra counter space with a tall people skylight, security/privacy curtains, proper electric, lighting, air circulation, internet access, batteries, solar, gas, diesel, recycling water system, loo, and storage galore everywhere!!! (0 wasted space) 🎉 Now, the aesthetics: the majority of rvs, conversions and trailers are designed within a certain look, you did not. Your interior makes us feel like we are visiting an adorable retro chic boudoir chalet, a whimsical tree house BnB or a 1940’s chambre de bonne in Paris. It’s cozy, bright, adorable and like you, incredibly warm and inviting. (common: wallpapered cabinet interior and wooden window mirror doors??!!) New fan, hello to pooch and Bravo, it was time well spent ❤ Looking forward to the aventures around the world.

I am incredibly jealous!! I am a 70 year old woman and so regret that I didn't take the opportunity to do something like this when I was young. Back in my day a woman travelling solo like this would have been an oddity. Your bus conversion is exceptional and really reflects your personality. I think it speaks to a lot of woman because whether we love modern decor, industrial, cottage, we all like a little whimsy. Good luck on your travels and have a wonderful time. At no point during the interior tour did it look or feel like a bus. If you told me I was inside a cozy stone cottage I'd believe you. What a creative and innovative build, well done ❤

I have never seen a van built with so much caracter. I love the wood and mirrors. Even the cupboards has wallpaper inside. The tree log/branch is so original and rustic. The screen doors are so beautiful. There are no modern things in your van, except the TV, phone and electronics. You have a very creative talent, Josie.
