I recently subbed to her and this happened less than a month from me subbing. That's hella strange, I actually thought that her content was very scripted and that alot fo her work was copy pasted.
This whole ordeal just confirmed my suspicion.
I'm not that active on her channel so I'm kinda just on the fence on her tbh.

She doesn’t care. She’s making bank off screen. She just wants people off her back while she’s rolling in her money bed and knows she’ll never change. And you’re right, it WAS TOO tailored a response. She learned well from her father’s rich circles. Make many vague promises and make superficial changes. Slum lords like her father put a new coat of paint and say the building is “newly renovated”. Yes. Keep an eye out.

As a non BIPOC I understand people may feel i have no right to input on this although people seem to be fine w non BIPOC mobbing her. I do however agree w EVERYTHING uve said. I think Maren DOES want to be a better ALLY and advocate and if given a chance she could end up growing from this experience and becoming a truly amazing advocate/ally especially w the platform that she has. If not given a chance that may not happen especially if the platform to do so is no longer there. Many people are not able to make this shift. We need more ALLYS and ADVOCATES so it makes me sad to think of missing out on someone who could really come out better from this. Ive had so many conversations to help close a gap w people who will never change and it has moved me to put that energy towards people like Maren who are more likely to make that shift. Ive seen people post wishing her death, physical harm, rape and literally casting spells in tiktoks to invoke this. Shes had people turn up to her door. I want to see her change and as u said, we will all be watching and holding her accountable if she doesn’t. Thank you for this perspective. I hope my words are met w understanding and peace.

The entire video is basically her saying: what I said was wrong, but I’m only going to apologize for the things that wasn’t exaggerated because I’m scared that I will lose any followers, but imma lie and say imma “try to learn” lol.

It's still confusing to me but I do get very off feelings about her so usually that means something isn't right.

I'm concerned because on one hand Maren expresses serious concern about her own mental health and I want to be sensitive but on the other hand I would love to know what the fuck her motivation was for seemingly copying a bunch of other talented creators' content based on those creators demographics. I hear the words "astrology" and "racism" together and just want to run full speed in the opposite direction.
