UK minister meets Israeli leaders to press for peace talks with Palestinians

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has met with Israeli leaders to press for dialogue with Palestinians.

Following the announcement of an agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, he said: "We welcome both the decision by the UAE to normalise relations with Israel, as well as the suspension of plans for annexation – a move the UK has opposed as it would have been counterproductive to securing peace in the region."

Palestinians have been critical of the deal brokered by President Donald Trump.
