Today I am here to do a review of Keeper password manager and determine if it’s a safe choice in 2024.

🔎 Security

First of all, it has a layered encryption model, which means it’s done locally on the device combining two different encryptions, so only encrypted passwords are sent to Keeper’s servers. It’s a standout method of encryption only used by a very few top password managers.

In addition to top-notch encryption, Keeper is also a zero-knowledge service, meaning that it doesn’t have access to your data. So if their servers do get breached, your data would still be safe.

⭐ Self-Destruct feature

I can use it to erase all locally stored passwords. If I have this on, it wipes the locally stored vault after five failed log-in attempts. Even though it’s unlikely to be needed, it’s still a nice little addition.

Security Audit evaluates my password strength. This tool quickly runs through all of my passwords and tells me which ones are weak, whether it’s because they are being reused or are not complex enough.

It’s a separate messaging app. All of its information is locked in a secured vault that is accessible only after identity confirmation. It provides much more control than other chatting apps like Messenger. It has self-destruct timers on sensitive messages and attachments, and it also allows me to retract my messages. In addition, all the media gets saved to your private gallery separately from your main camera.

The one-time share feature is great because I can share passwords and sensitive data, even with someone that doesn't have Keeper, whether it’s my co-workers, family, or friends. It uses encryption and lets me set an expiration date.

To add passwords first go to the settings and click on import. It will import all the passwords you have on your browser. It works on, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, Safari, and IE if for some reason someone still uses that. And yeah, It’s not only for passwords. For example, under the identity and payments tab, I can save all my card info.

To share passwords, first, select a password I want to share in my vault, then click options, and then hit share. Keep in mind that, unlike the One-time share feature, for this the person I am sharing my password with needs to have Keeper as well.

Keeper is one of the best Password managers on the market. Keeper security is top-notch, as it follows strict guidelines and provides unique features that are actually useful. And even though some of the said features are behind a paywall, it’s very well worth it, as nobody else can offer you that.

Very superficial tutorial - mailnly just a recitation of features. What happens if you have get onto a website from a different computer? How do you change a password regularly on a site? (Because you have to log into the site to change a password) This is the level of information that I need.
