I've just finished reading Michael Wood's In Search of the Dark Ages, and seeing physical evidence from the Anglo Saxon period digs really brings things to life. The Roman stuff does, of course, continue to fascinate.

The mass grave- no gloves- oh I’d freak out- not trusting that dirt!!! Would not touch any part of the Black Death anything without gloves on!!😮

Why is it necessary to have constant music? It drowns out the commentary, and is intrusive. Such an interesting channel, so many wonderful experts explaining their discoveries, but marred by the background music

And those sling balls were basically nothing to them.. and to us, they are history. It’s truly amazing.

A slingshot round travels how fast ? He said the same as a .44 cal round. He doesn’t know what he is talking about. No, a .44 caliber round, even a powerful magnum load, does not travel at over 100 miles per hour; it typically travels at speeds around 1, 300 feet per second which translates to roughly 880 miles per hour.

Seriously why do you post the same episodes over and over again with different titles? I don’t know why I even click on them anymore knowing everything this channel posts has been posted many times before. They are just in it for the advertisement money.

Not sure how 48 bodies, 21 adults and 27 children, constitutes a “massive medieval plague pit”. A “rare rural medieval plague pit” would have been a much more accurate description, and not quite so “click baitish”.

Great show, and educational. But seems like a lot of archeology involves speculation re interpretation of found items :)

Isn’t it weird they find all these skeletons with mouths full of teeth in a time without dentistry but these days very few people have their own teeth 😂
