I was considering buying this but as I already own the 78mm screwdriver handle (without the Rapidator quick release bit extender) and a Wera Bitcheck Plus 7 bitset with 2 each flathead, Phillips and Pozi driver bits plus regular extender, and also a very small Sealey ratchet for pocket carry, it would have been unneccessary duplication of several of those items. The Sealey mini ratchet whilst nowhere near as good as the Wera on with this, has an inline driver capability which is really what I bought it for, it's definitely better than dedicated EDC inline drivers like the Maratac/County Comm bit nub and costs a fraction of the price, the fact that I can use it as a flat driver/ratchet as well is just a bonus. It's 85mm long so just a tad shorter than a standard SAK. I can carry that in a pocket with the Wera bit extender and two bits - one flat, one Phillips - and have a great little EDC driver kit to carry together with a Knipex Cobra XS and a SAK or Spyderco.
Instead I bought the Wera Bit Check 30 piece bitset - okay now I've got quite a few bits from my Bitcheck 7 4 times or doubled up lol but they are the most common ones, I wanted to have the torx bits for knife maintenance, and also by adding the allen bits to my pocket EDC carry I have bike repair tools on me in pocket format. It gives me a larger bit selection than I'd have had with the Tool Check Plus. I can always put the small Bit Check bitset into my small tool pouch, which is my 2nd tier bike repair kit.
I also bought a Mannesmann ratchet socket set, not the cheapo ones but their ''premium'' one, don't know if it really is made in Germany but it is from blued S2 tool steel and got a top review from a German test site. That has 14 sockets including larger and smaller sizes than in the Tool Check Plus, a bigger ratchet and all the other bits you'd expect like ratchet extenders and so on. I could have bought a ratchet socket set for a quarter of the price but I just want to buy once, not buy cheap poor quality stuff that won't last 5 years.
Both the Bit Check 30 and the Mannesmann socket set came in for around the same price as the Toolcheck so I'm sorted, but remember if I add the Sealey driver/ratchet and the Wera handle I bought before that adds another 20 quid.
So the Toolcheck Plus you review here definitely has it's place as probably the most compact and well designed small bit driver and ratchet socket set combined and is ideal for all kinds of scenarios, in a small EDC tool pouch for example, ideally together with Knipex pliers, or as many reviewers and commenters have said in a motorbike repair tool kit. I haven't read or heard any negative reviews of it and as I already own some elements of it, I would highly recommend it.

FINALLY!!! After watching dozens of videos on this particular tool set, I finally come across a real, professional review where actual dimensions are given! Thank you!

The plastic sliding holder keeps popping of mine and pretty much all the bits look a little rusty. Almost to the point where I can't see the writing on the side of each piece. I haven't abused it, ap
apart from these 2 things 👍

Little excessive on the jewelry for a normal guy. Especially the thumb ring!?

You pull it out and realize the screw is imperial. Do you go home hanging your head in shame? Just teasing.

Moorlander EDC
You can take off the screwdriver part/holder easily, just open the bit part and you can see the way it's attached on the inside. Easy peasy and something with a citrus fruit.

This Wera set or the smaller 3o Zyclp Wera set, without the screwdriver, add a Knipex Cobra 150 and a Swiss tool Spirit X and you have your EDC, covered for life!!! Best possible tool combination, for the best minimalistic tool carry ever!!! Can't get any better!

My only problems with wera is the lack of flat head bits

I don't really use tools much but I like to play with my toolcheck plus daily - it's on my desk and serves as a stress toy. Maybe one day I'll actually use it - no regrets, it's a beautiful piece of German engineering

I am glad to see this were review. But, what is with flipping off the audience? Did u think using you middle fingers was cool? It was very offensive. Almost couldn't watch it. At the end you made a big show of it.

Hey buddy,

I just picked up a set today. I’m very impressed with the quality. Thanks for your review.

By the way, I’ve also just bought the Knipex 125mm Cobra pliers and 125mm Pliers wrench. Two more fantastically crafted German tools that are perfect for EDC. They are not cheap, but I won’t need to ever buy another set.

I own one. This is the best companion tool set for Motorcycle Riders, light weight and very compact. Been replacing my Chinesium made tools lately. I'm a Wera Fan now. ü

looks very well made, but the bit selection is disappointing. I tend to need much smaller, precision bits.

Weight of 1.75KG???? If they made a version with the bits out of platinum maybe. Back in the real world it weighs 555g, so just over 1lb.
