This is really simply about mindset. If you have a strong, unshakeable mindset then the little frustrations we encounter daily in our workplace won't come close to affecting our mood.

Being aware of what our mind and body is telling us when work is becoming too much, when we are losing our zest - so important.

Ooft... I really felt for her as she described that work environment. It's so hard to wake up spend your entire day in an environment that drains you of everything.

My top driver is social connection and I don’t find my job meaningful… so I stand around chatting to my friends at work, ignoring all the customers, and honestly that makes me pretty happy!

This sounds like advice that could be used in not just a work setting, but in any place where you have to build and maintain rapport.

As is the case with most things, happiness is a choice. You can choose for your happiness to be fragile and affected by others, or you can choose a positive mindset that carries you through the challenges of the day, and if you're too unhappy on a daily basis to do that, it's a pretty good indication that something needs to change.

I couldn't agree more, we are responsible for our own happiness and nowhere is it more important to remember that than at work!

This is a no brainer, yet it is still completely revolutionary when put into real life practice

I like the 'highlight of the day' idea.

The part about happiness being a skill you can learn is such an undervalued bit of knowledge. I spent the majority of my young life thinking happiness was just something that just happened. Why aren't there more people around who will tell you this kind of stuff??
