The best degreaser in the world

I've got an inlet manifold to clean and 20 litres of her majesty's finest gasoline degreaser for the job. Since we had the top of engine stripped we've done an EGR delete and taken out the swirl flaps. They're filthy though - here's how we cleaned them.

good to see the Toyota getting a muck-out :-) couple of things, but a bit late now for this. First, heat gun or gas torch the screws/flaps before removing the screws and it will break down the loctite and make it more probable you can get them out. Second, if you hold the gerry can with the large side face opposite the filler hole almost horizontal, it will pour without glugging all over your nice decking. Anyway, looking forward to seeing you buy a WinOLS setup to remap it so I can copy you on my Hilux

Obviously this worked and props. While petrol is cool, my current favorite degreaser is Oil Eater. It works incredibly well, it's water based, it smells like sugar cookies, it probably costs about as much as gas there, and it will absolutely dry the hell out of your skin so wear gloves. Not sure if you have it in the UK, but def worth trying. Hope the rig actually goes well now!

I have had luck with a 5L pressure sprayer full of off car DPF cleaner and spraying it after the MAF but before the turbo. With it being water based it dampens combustion a little but the trick it to keep the revs high or ideally be driving with a tube going to the cab and a friend to run the sprayer.

Whats in that tub is only part of it. The rest was blasted out with the pressure waher and spread on the back of your hand with the brush xD

Purpose made industrial degreaser is much more effective, cheaper, and not flammable! I wonder why this sort of pointless rubbish is so popular on You Tube?
